The Vernier caliper’s 14-degree face angle offers easier reading and helps prevent parallax error in the measurement. The scales are raised to slide easily and protect the graduation markings. The Vernier caliper with thumb clamp is constructed of hardened stainless steel that is corrosion resistant and has a satin chrome finish to reduce glare.

The Mitutoyo IP65 rated coolant-proof micrometer’s ratchet stop thimble mechanism provides a constant measuring force on the spindle to ensure accurate, repeatable measurements. The combination of the ratchet thimble and speeder enables a rapid spindle feed when measuring widely different dimensions, as well as, easier one-handed measurements.
